Gloria Prince – Throwback R&B Mixtape Vol.1

Singer Gloria Prince’s release a new project Throwback R&B Mixtape Vol.1 hosted by DJ 4.0 that will take you back to some of your favorite R&B joints! You may have forgotten about a few of the records that she recreated, but I bet you’ll still remember the lyrics once you hear them.

Gloria created her 6-track throwback mixtape and covered songs like Mario’s 2004 “How Could You,” and Omarion’s 2005 “I’m Tryna”. The Texas songbird also laid her vocals down to cover a few songs that certainly haven’t gotten lost in your memory. Gloria hit the refresh button on TLC’s classic ladies anthem “No Scrubs” and did her thing on Queen Bey’s “Dangerously In Love”.

The best part about Gloria’s throwback mixtape isn’t the trip down memory lane, it’s that you can take it with the sounds of Gloria Prince’s amazing vocals playing in your ear. Take it back a few times and listen up to her new mixtape Throwback R&B Mixtape Vol.1.

John Frank – On Me ft. Fr33 Tha Sinner, Arson360 & Rayne Storm (Prod. by Rayne Storm)

Eye Am Records / Monopolyhouse recording artist John Frank releases his debut single “On Me” featuring an all-star team of New York rappers including Fr33 Tha Sinner, Arson360 and Rayne Storm who also serves as the producer of the track. The track is uptempo, yet still manages to be just a street as it is rhythmic with each artist delivering they own style. It would play just as hard in a club as it would driving down your favorite highway with the windows down. With an addictive chorus and feel-good vibe in the face of haters, this song is a great way to blast off the New Year!

Mike Maro – The Race Freestyle

The Race Freestyle is another bomb freestyle from Mike Maro. Unlike his most recent song Rigamortis Freestyle, it is a more laid back track with a clever approach to boosting the theme of the song using race/running references. With lines like “run till I run out of luck” or lines that sarcastically fit the Christmas spirit “greedy like the Grinch and every day is Christmas, look I’m rapping/wrapping I got gifts”.
The Race Freestyle is a powerful addition by Mike Maro to his bubbling catalog. The London MC proves to be one with above average rapping abilities along with an underlying message in his music.
